Cariad Farm Sanctuary is for farm animals that are in need and want of a loving home. Some animals are rescued from being exploited, abused and/or mistreated, some have become homeless from being discarded, abandoned and/or neglected, and others are simply not able to remain at previous homes for various reasons ( lack of adequate food, water, shelter, companions, etc ). Cariad Farm already provides sanctuary to about 50 farm animals including horses, donkeys, cows, goats, sheep, pigs, geese and chickens.
Cariad Farm Sanctuary is a not for profit organisation.
The objectives of Cariad Farm Sanctuary are :
- to provide permanent sanctuary for farm animals
- to provide temporary refuge for farm animals until they are reunited with their owners
- to provide adequate care (food, water, medical treatment, etc) and a safe environment (shelter, fencing, etc) for the farm animals to live in
- to welcome community groups to visit the farm sanctuary
- to provide education about farm animals and the farming of animals - farm animal industries, environmental concerns and health concerns
- to encourage vegetarianism ( veganism )
Cariad Farm Sanctuary welcomes community groups especially schools to visit the farm and animals. The sanctuary provides a learning experience by not only giving people the opportunity to connect with farm animals but also the chance to gain an awareness and understanding of the many important issues regarding the farming of animals.
Please contact Cariad Farm Sanctuary if you have an interest in being involved in any way. Perhaps you would like to visit Cariad Farm with your family, friends and/or school. Maybe you have ideas, skills, knowledge, experience, resources and/or materials that you believe would benefit the sanctuary. All help and support is very sincerely and gratefully appreciated, especially by the animals.
